Product Details
The Campagnolo Super Record / Record Power Unit V3 is an official power unit designed specifically for use with Record and Super Record Groupsets. Initially, the power unit was ingeniously modified for internal mounting. This not only shields it from the elements but also gives the entire bike build an aerodynamic edge. As frames have become more aerodynamic with slimmer tube designs, Campagnolo has introduced the V3 - an even more advanced version of its power unit. This new internal power unit retains all the great features and technologies from the V2. It has a vibration - absorbing outer material, ultrasonic seals for a waterproof build, and industry - leading autonomy. All these are packed into a slimmer and more adaptable package. The new structure allows for internal mounting not just in super - aerodynamic frames with ultra - slim tubes but also offers more flexibility in placement within the frame. Thanks to this slim design, the EPS advantage is now available for all frames, regardless of the make or model. Inside the power unit and interface, 'Digital Tech Intelligence' (D.T.I) works at lightning speed, transmitting, receiving, and processing data thousands of times per second. It's like an electronic brain that instantly synchronizes all the functions a rider requests. With a simple click of the controls, D.T.I sends the corresponding signal to the rear or front derailleur accurately and reliably, delivering a performance and control feel never experienced with a conventional drivetrain. Moreover, the D.T.I system monitors the entire drivetrain and its components. It continuously checks the battery level and functionality and ensures the rear and front derailleurs are working properly. The Campagnolo EPS electronic drivetrain meets the IP67 international standards. This means it can protect its electronic components from dust and liquid infiltration. The EPS system's electronic components passed a series of tests, proving they can function perfectly under one meter of water for at least 30 minutes. The EPS system can automatically detect a wide range of malfunctions. When a malfunction is detected, an RGB led on the power unit lights up. The color of the led indicates the area where the malfunction occurred, as shown in the table below. In some cases, the cause of the malfunction might be temporary. Depending on the color of the light on the power unit, some operations are recommended for the user. The V3 Power Unit integrates the battery pack and the electronic intelligence board in a sealed unit that is 232 mm long and only 16.6 mm in diameter. Specification: Weight: 106g; Part code: PU21 - 11EPS
Using the Campagnolo Super Record / Record Power Unit V3 is easy. First, make sure it's properly installed in your bike's frame, taking advantage of its slim design for flexible placement. When you're ready to ride, simply click the controls, and the 'Digital Tech Intelligence' will quickly send signals to the derailleurs for smooth gear changes. Keep an eye on the RGB led on the power unit. If it lights up, refer to the provided table to understand what the malfunction might be. Sometimes, the issue could be temporary, so follow the recommended operations based on the led color. To maintain the power unit, since it meets IP67 standards, it can handle some exposure to dust and water. But it's still a good idea to keep it clean and dry after rides. Regularly check the battery level as the D.T.I system monitors it. If you notice any abnormal behavior or if the power unit doesn't perform as expected, have it checked by a professional bike mechanic.
