This innovative chain tension tool is compatible with all our thru-axle disc frames and any frameset designed for a 12mm thru-axle. It's great for preventing the chain from twisting, slapping against, and chipping your frame, and it helps keep the derailleur in place. You'll need a 12mm allen key to install and remove the device. It can keep the chain tensioned at the rear dropout when the wheel is removed, avoid chain tangles and frame damage during frame transport without the wheel, and its adjustable design fits hub widths from 130 to 150 mm and 12 mm thru axles.

Using this tool is easy. First, make sure you have a 12mm allen key. When you remove the rear wheel, either for cleaning or traveling, use the allen key to fit the chain tension tool onto the 12mm thru-axle of your frame. This will keep the chain under light tension and prevent it from causing any damage to your frame. When you're ready to put the wheel back on, simply use the allen key to remove the tool. As for maintenance, keep the tool clean and dry. After each use, give it a quick wipe to remove any dirt or debris.
